Using hand-dyed cottons and improvisational curved piecing techniques, Virginia creates abstract designs based on the shapes of the natural world. Her art quilts have been exhibited in numerous exhibits including Quilt National (2001 and 2007), Visions (2002), and Art Quilts at the Sedgwick, and are in many private collections.
